so much control
Recently found out thatI have arteriosclerotic changes in the arteries of my neck...after my most recent doctor visit...Really upsetting for me...you think you have control of your life ... watch diet, weight, exercise and follow cholesterol and things should go well.. Unfortunately the state of the art in medicine is that we can only control so much. Family history and how your genes perform is not within the realm of modern medicine. However, the current research in genes is placing us at the door of a different world of medicine. It'll be great for our future generations to be able to decide how long they want to live and when and how they want to die..

1983 and beyond...
Welcome...it's been a long time since I have been in practice...1983 to be exact...alot of changes...that have affected both the patient and physician...Despite the fact that neither of us are happy with all the changes, We at Long Island Medical Care have always tried to be proactiveand positive.

The changes in our web site along with the new features that we are offering are part of our effort to deliver ....Your Best Primary Medical Care..

Take some time and read thru our web site...call us or email us if you should have any questions...or just give us some feedback...We expect our internet innovations to improve the care of each one of our patients.

As you know our office sees patients on an appointment and no appointment , walk-in basis. Our clinicians, Dr Jodi ScherPirro, PA's Karen Homan, Maureen Fritz and Jim Storc are here to listen to you and give you the best possible medical care.I have dedicated my time to treating dermatology and aesthetic skin care patients..In the future we will be redesigning the office so there will be separate treatment and waiting areas for our different types of patients. We expect the care of each patient to be more efficient and pleasant.

Thank you for allowing us to take part in your medical care..
